Free Internet Service
A few years ago, there were plenty of FREE internet services. Today, the
survivors have limited their access -
Juno
and
Netzero
is Free for the first 10 Hours per month.
There are PLENTY of Low-Cost Services - an up-to-date list can be found at
Daily E-Deals - Free Internet
.
There are literally hundreds of Internet Service Providers to choose. If you
travel or plan on moving then national services like AOL, CompuServe, MSN or
Prodigy might be good. If you don't plan on going anywhere, local Services
like Community Web, BellSouth, Net-Unlimited are good. If you want the speed
and don't mind paying a little extra then Cable or DSL Service is good. (In the
Triad, Road Runner is Time Warner's Cable Internet Service and DSL is Bell
South's High Speed Internet Service.) I don't say that any service is great
because everybody has different needs. If you often need help, be aware that
the national services have often out-sourced their Customer Service to foreign
countries - you had better chose a local service with a local representative.
